THE QUEST TO CONQUER

THE QUEST TO CONQUER

THE QUEST TO CONQUER

Sweet scented aroma from the belly of the evergreen  forest
Surrounded by the high pointing mountains
Flowing with freedom were the rivers
All around us engulfed with the peace of the African soil
The joy of an unperturbed culture

Black and heavily polluted clouds clothes us
Upon thy presence thine peace cease
Injecting our culture with the filth of modernity
Coating thy treacherous ways with the holy word
You bend our rich past to an unworthy background

You who think yourself God
Are nothing compared to the little ones of Mother Africa

Fellow hunted comrades
Yield not the fruit of the infiltrator
Leave behind a past worth memories
Our hope emanates from the black skin
We shall conquer, mind prosecutors shall flee
Our strength lies in the very land we stand upon
Let not wither from our true course

  1. I love it when young poets from mother Africa depicts words with pure ‘Africancious’ ideals in their writes. This is great.
    Kudos!
